Bush over Baghdad

This is a few days old, but I was thinking about Bush's surprise visit to Iraq last week. He flew in there with absolutely nobody knowing about it other than his security team. Even the Prime Minister of Iraq was totally clueless about the visit and completely shocked to see Bush. At first glance, it doesn't seem unusual that Bush's visit would be kept hush-hush for security reasons. But even the PM of Iraq couldn't be informed about it? This tells me that the Bush people don't trust the Prime Minister of Iraq to either (a)keep his mouth shut, or (b)not sell Bush out to someone who might think about doing him harm. Either is bad. Either shows the Bush administration's complete lack of confidence in the Iraqi Prime Minister, the government they've put in place, and the security environment of the country. And that's terrifying, because they're the ones running the thing.
