Rush Limbaugh, heartless douchebag.

By now most of us have seen the campaign commercial with Michael J. Fox, in which he pleads for voters to elect the democrat candidate who supports the stem-cell research that may cure his Parkinson's Disease. It's an excrutiating 30 seconds to watch; Fox trembles and shakes all the way through it. Anyone with a modicum of compassion, regardless of political leaning, would have to be moved watching him. And then there's Rush.

Yesterday on his radio program Rush had the audacity to suggest that Fox was exaggerating his symptoms for the benefit of the camera, and that he didn't shake like that in real life. Limbaugh stated that "this is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn't take his medication or he's acting, one of the two".

Anyone who's been paying attention knows that Michael J. Fox has had Parkinson's for years, and that the disease has progressed to the stage where he does indeed shake uncontrollably. In fact, I've seen him on talk shows in recent memory, shaking as badly or worse than he was in this commercial. That Limbaugh could call Fox's condition and motives into question just because Fox supports the democrats is disgusting on so many levels, it boggles the mind. Reality-challenged and heartless: I think it's Rush who's off his medication.
