"Pro-Lifers" commemorate Rudolph's sentencing

This is getting to be a trend.

First we heard about "Paul Hill Days", July 26-29 in Milwaukee Wisconson; a commemoration of christian terrorist and murderer Paul Hill (executed in 2003, good fucking riddance). This little bash will include a "Paul Hill March" (March for Death, you might say) and, unbelievably, a re-enactment of Hill's heinous crime. What necrophiles these idiots are, seriously -- it's no wonder they're so enamoured of those dead fetus pictures.

Not to be outdone by the extremists sponsoring PH Days, the "peaceful, gentle christian soldiers" of "Operation Save America" are also getting their terrorist-worship on for a week starting tomorrow, July 14-22, as they commemorate the sentencing (July 18, 2005) of clinic-and-gay-bar bomber Eric Rudolph. The ghoulish celebration takes place -- where else? in Birmingham Alabama, at the same clinic Rudolph bombed. How much more obvious can they make it that they approve of Rudolph's actions?

Anti-choicers continually claim that they don't have anything to do with extremists. Operation Save America might pretend not to be "gentle", but that's clearly belied by their celebration of the crimes of Eric Rudolph. Priests for Life Fr. Frank Pavone, who spoke at Ottawa's March for Life in May, is actively trying to coalesce the violent extremists with more mainstream anti-choicers:

"Pavone provides something tremendously important to the violent wing of the antichoice movement--a smooth-talking, very, very articulate frontman," says State Senator Eric T. Schneiderman. "Pavone is out to unify the [antiabortion] movement and to bring together the violent factions and nonviolent factions and have them work together in a coordinated way."

And every time
some group like "Operation Save America" throws one of these little terrorist worshipping shindigs, the more obvious it becomes that the anti-choice movement owns the Hills and the Rudolphs and the Kopps lock stock and barrel. I may sympathize with the Palestinian cause, but if Osama bin Laden was in jail, I wouldn't be marching in Osama parades or attending pro-al qaeda speeches.
