Who's watching the light show?

Tonight's the night! The annual perseids meteor shower should be visible after dark, provided the sky is clear. It peaked already around 8pm PST, but will continue through the night. (If you're back east, stop reading this and go outside now!)

Fortuitously, there's a new moon, which will facilitate ease of viewing. It isn't fireworks, it's very subtle at first and you have to give your eyes a chance to adjust to the dark before you start seeing these little guys, but have patience. I saw it last year and was about to give up and go inside when I suddenly started noticing it. Sooooooo cool.
