"An upcoming 40-day prayer vigil targeting Planned Parenthood clinics in Lufkin and around the country has sparked volunteer drives on both sides of the fence a week ahead of what may be the largest simultaneous anti-abortion protest in American history.
"Calling it "harassment" and "intimidation tactics," Michelle Green, Lufkin's Planned Parenthood health center director, said the vigil was no match for Planned Parenthood's 30 years of health care to East Texas families.
Green said the campaign will use intimidation to prevent women and men from receiving basic health care when it should be helping people gain access to birth control and family planning.
"Planned Parenthood does more to prevent unintended pregnancies and the need for abortion than any anti-choice organization or so-called crisis pregnancy center," Green said. "...As a community, we should be working together to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies."
That makes sense! But never let sense get in the way of a good persecution high! Lalalalala I can't hear you...
The campaign focuses on 40 days of prayer and fasting, calling for peaceful vigils outside clinics in combination with educational outreach, a campaign press release stated."
"Peaceful", like what Lufkin homeboy Evans had in mind for the Austin clinic? "40 days of prayer and fasting" and moaning and groaning and ululating and writhing and coming in their pants in the throes of a mass persecution high. A prayer vigil: (Let's hope it doesn't go bad and turn into an Assault) I wonder how many pregnancies will have to be terminated at a later stage because these delusional praying headcases got in the way. Well, there's an answer to that: NONE. The Lufkin branch of PP doesn't do abortions at all. D'oh!
