UPDATE: AAR says it wasn't a hate attack. But we live in a weird kind of world when we have to even wonder about it.
"Randi Rhodes, the Air America radio host who began her talk-show career on South Florida's WIOD 610-AM, was injured Sunday night when she was assaulted near her apartment on Manhattan's East Side, according to other hosts, who discussed the incident Tuesday on their shows."Rhodes was wearing a jogging suit, no purse, no jewelry, so robbery probably wasn't the motive. It's probably jumping the gun to assume it was a right-wing hate crime, but when they're comfortable with behaviour like this, you have to wonder.
