The odds are 8-1 that McCain will dump Palin, 33-1 that he'll dump her by this Sunday. So says Irish bookmaker Paddy Power:
Egads! One can only imagine the clamour as the Dobsonites gasp, shriek and swoon, dropping their Bibles and clutching their pearls as they stagger blindly towards the fainting couch. Especially if they find out that all the millions they've poured into McCain's campaign since Friday will be going into helping get Joe Lieberman elected VP.
Then again, it might not happen: Paddy's been wrong before. But I don't think it would hurt to start a friendly little pool.
