Meanwhile, in Iraq

Lebanon has been front and center in the world's attention span lately, but meanwhile the Iraq war continues to spiral out of control. Iraq's sectarian civil war claims far more civilians and soldiers on a weekly basis than the total killed in Lebanon/Israel so far. More ominously, US intelligence sources say that neighbouring Sunni countries Jordan and Saudi Arabia are so concerned about the possibility of a Shia/Iran takeover in Iraq that they've quietly started supporting the Sunni insurgency with money and intelligence. Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Coalition allies.

I guess this is one case where "the enemy of my enemy" is still my enemy.
