Al-Pieda strikes in Alberta

Oh nooooo!!! Heads down, incoming! Pie-wielding terrorists attempted an attack on Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach yesterday:


"CALGARY (CP) - Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach was the target of an attempted "pieing" today at the premier's annual Stampede breakfast in Calgary.

Stelmach had a security detachment as he shook hands with people in the crowd when two young women attempted to hit him with a pie from across a table.

The pie ended up falling harmlessly on the ground."

This isn't the first such attack. Everyone remembers when Al-Pieda attempted to strike Ann Coulter, who called it "an act of terrorism". The pie-tossing insurgency has been active for years:

"The attacks have taken place throughout the world, and claimed such illustrious victims as Microsoft's Bill Gates, Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien, former European Commission President Jacques Delors and Dutch Finance Minister Gerrit Zalm, who was last year felled by an organic banana pie at the opening of the Amsterdam Stock Exchange."
