"A good PR move" at Guantanamo

So says the US Deputy Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy, Colleen Graffy, in reference to the 3 prisoners who committed suicide at Gitmo recently. Think that's cold? Then how about "asymetrical warfare" (this was from the commander of the base)? Suicide might be the last word, the final escape, or the ultimate manifestation of despair, but this is the first time I've ever heard it called "a good PR move" or "warfare".

When I see comments like this, it's easy to understand why Guantanamo has become such a scab on the face of America. The people who hold these inmates' lives in such utter contempt are the same people responsible for making sure their charges receive due process and fair trials. It's no wonder the prisoners feel such utter misery.
